Lotta Hannerz is mostly famous for the large scale sculptures that have been seen in the waters of Strömmen in Stockholm. They have amused and amazed tourists and locals during several summers since 2002. She is a painter, sculptor and a maker of objects.
To be true to nature does not primarily interest her although her works do have an air of being more realistic than reality itself.
Lotta Hannerz new exhibition, the second at Knäpper+Baumgarten, has the title “110%” and opens the 23 of august..
We have produced a new book with the same title which contains pictures of 40 works, most of them from her exhibitions in Paris, where she currently lives and works.
Lotta Hannerz was educated in Stockholm, first at University College of arts and crafts and design and later on at the Royal University College of Arts.
Her work is represented at Göteborgs konstmuseum, Malmö Konstmuseum, Kunstmuseum in Bonn and in numerous private collections in Sweden, France and Belgium.
